Vali (holding the koala) with her sisters, Pat and Joan

Anon who messaged me, I accidentally deleted your message! If anything about the video comes up, I will be sure to share it! It’s definitely something I’ve been searching for and hopefully it will surface one day. Patti and Vali are my dream ladies, I am in awe that such footage even exists! xoxo (if you’d like, you can always email me. bluesforspacegirl@yahoo.com)

Anonymous: Do you know where I could watch/obtain a copy of "Patti and Valli"?

What do you mean? I’m not sure what you’re referring to but I could possibly help you out if you’re a little bit more specific. If you mean the video out there in existence-land of Vali tattooing Patti’s leg, then I can’t help you, I don’t have access to this, either. I would absolutely LOVE to but it isn’t something easy to get a hold of, unfortunately. I know the video was taken by Sandy Daley, though. Annnnd I do hate to be so terribly nit-picky but….it’s V-A-L-I. You have to understand, I run a blog dedicated to the woman, it would be wrong of me not to point it out. :) Much love xoxox

Vali’s diary (Amsterdam, 1974)

Can’t believe it’s been a year since I started this blog! I’ve met so many wonderful people through my darling, Vali. She really has a way of bringing people together, for that I am very grateful. Hope you’re all doing well! I’m working on some special things concerning Vali, hopefully I will be able to share those with you, soon.

Much love xoxoxo

Vali’s diary
"She gave me my first tattoo in the first month I lived with her, a five-petaled flower around my navel. I find that a rather beautiful place. And from then on we began to tattoo each other, and a lot. I covered her feet and hands with a blue lace of tattoos. She did my right hand, and I did my left one. For me, that tattooing was my initiation, and a kind of spirit marriage. Indians believe that tattoos stay with you forever, because after death the soul still keeps them."
