Today, February 12th, is the day Vali Myers passed away ten years ago. It has been an entire decade since Vali left our physical world but I know and feel all the time that her spirit is very much alive and I view this day as a joyful commemoration rather than a sad reminder that she is no longer with us. I am really blown away by all of the amazing people who have connected with me here and shared their stories and I hope to continue to welcome more and more into my little colorful corner of the world. If you have any stories or thoughts you would like to share, please send them along! Publicly or privately, I would love to hear about your connection with Vali. Hope you have a wonderful day kissed with Vali’s lovely spirit (and maybe a toast with a generous glass of wine?)

“I’ve had 72 absolutely flaming years. It (the illness) doesn’t bother me at all, because, you know love, when you’ve lived like I have, you’ve done it all. I put all my effort into living; any dope can drop dead. I’m in the hospital now, and I guess I’ll kick the bucket here. Every beetle does it, every bird, everybody. You come into the world and then you go.”

“I had a drink with my dear friend Deborah Crabtree on Friday night at a window seat in Young & Jacksons pub where I used to drink with Vali every friday night before dancing. Everyone there was great - all ages, no rules. But one night a drunk guy at the bar stopped Vali and asked rudely ‘who are you’ she said ‘I’m Bruce Lee’ and karate kicked his glass full of beer across the room. She was 70 years old at the time.”
